The Hunger  (1983), directed by Tony Scott, remastered, encoded in 10 bit HEVC with AAC sound, including original theatrical stereo, commentary track, and English subtitles. An erotic vampire thriller set in 80s New York City, starring Catherine Deneuve, David Bowie and Susan Sarandon, with an actual Bauhaus performance of "Bela Lugosi's Dead" during the opening credits, and shot with so much ice-cold 80s blue-tinted style you'll want to put on some thick black socks to stay warm, the great Tony Scott's debut feature is peak post punk death cult, complete with Ankhs and flashbacks to Ancient Egypt. Also, a tiny role for a young Willem Dafoe, which is always a treat. Miriam is an ancient vampire who's spent the centuries with a series of chosen companions she's given eternal life. The latest one is John, with whom she stalks NYC clubs for fresh prey. However, John suddenly starts aging rapidly, and it turns out the gift Miriam gives is imperfect; he will live forever, but will not stay young. John seeks out a Sarah, a researcher on rapid aging to try to reverse the process, but Sarah catches Miriam's attention, and soon the question of who will take John's place at Miriam's side becomes central. This is a nice remaster, showing off the gorgeous anamorphic cinematography, which also means the grain is nice and unobtrusive. The original stereo track sounds fine, and the commentary track with Tony Scott and Susan Sarandon is interesting and entertaining. Hot tip  Quote:HeVK torrents always have lots of keywords.
